Sunshine Chaser's Guide to Pittsburgh

Sunshine Chaser's Guide to Pittsburgh

I am away cruising with the family for another couple of days, so you get the treat of another Sunshine Chasers feature! I am particularly jazzed about this one because it is from my home state. Yes, fellow Philadelphians, I think Pittsburgh is awesome. I will say it loud and say it proud! Marissa graciously stepped up to the plate to convince you all with an AMAZING Pittsburgh guide. Thanks Marissa!

Sunshine Chaser's Guide to San Antonio

Sunshine Chaser's Guide to San Antonio

Summertime is one of the best times to visit Texas, especially the city of San Antonio. Not only are our San Antonio Spurs usually in the NBA playoffs, but there is always something fun and exciting to do in the Alamo city. Since I started my Digital PR business, I get to attend a lot of events around town. You could say I know a lot of the hip and cool places to hang out. So, if you’re planning on coming on down to Texas, preferably San Antonio, here are some things you can do for under $20!

Snapchat Travel Planning: Is it Possible?

Snapchat Travel Planning: Is it Possible?

It’s been a little while since we talked about using social media for travel planning, hasn’t it? Just to review, we’ve already covered Twitter (my fave!), Instagram, and Facebook. Today I’m here to talk about travel planning with my newest addiction: Snapchat. But is Snapchat travel planning possible? Alright, I hear you protesting already. How the heck can I use Snapchat to help plan my travels? I knew you were going to protest. In fact, I was a little skeptical of how useful it would be. That’s why I gave it a try when I went up to New York City. And I am confident that you actually CAN use Snapchat for travel planning.

TBEX Tips to Have a Spectacular Conference

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you saw the incredible time that I had at TBEX in Minnesota just a week ago. Well it’s time for TBEX to grace the posts of my blog. This first post is all about things I wish I would have known (or benefited from learning!) at my first TBEX. And trust me, I've gathered quite a few TBEX tips.

Steps to Solo Travel: Solo Travel Airport Tips

Steps to Solo Travel: Solo Travel Airport Tips

I was talking to somebody the other day who has never had to (or has gotten to!) fly by themselves. They mentioned that it seemed like such a lonely affair and they asked me if I had any solo travel airport tips. Now, I should warn you, I actually love the airport. Probably too much. I jump at the chance to drive somebody to the airport just so I can be around it. But that being said, I thought I might take this opportunity to talk about a step into solo travel that I haven’t thought of before — surviving the airport and the plane ride by yourself. This is perfect timing because this week I just got back from TBEX North America and…you guessed it! I’m flew from Philadelphia to Minneapolis (and back) by myself. In fact, I was sitting in an airport writing this! Here’s how I survive a day of travel, especially when there’s a layover. And then that layover is delayed. Without further adieu, I bring you my solo travel airport tips!

Jenna from Jenna Redfield Designs is a native with all the insider spots in Minneapolis and surrounding areas. So if you're planning a trip (or if we'll be at TBEX together!), you're in luck. We've got all the best spots for warm weather Minneapolis now. Take it away, Jenna!

Social Media for Travel: Facebook Travel Planning

Social Media for Travel: Facebook Travel Planning

We are moving right along with our social media travel planning series. I’ve already told you how I use Twitter and Instagram to plan some aspects of travel and now I’m going to hop on over to my newest travel obsession: Facebook. Yes, that’s right. Today I’m going to share with you four fun steps to Facebook travel planning.

Travel as Exercise Motivation

Travel as Exercise Motivation

Despite being (okay, having) a Master of (in) Exercise Physiology I don’t really talk about fitness that much on this blog. I’ve got a snippet or two about how Classpass is great for travelers and I have a total of one race recap on here. But today, my friends, my worlds of exercise and travel are combining the tiniest bit. And you’re just going to have to roll with it. Or click out of my blog, but we don’t want that do we? I’ll be the very first to tell you that it is hard to prioritize, whether it be travel or exercise. Especially as somebody who has a job. And also a blog to run. And laundry to do, dinner to cook, rooms to clean, etc. etc. I get it. You may know that exercise is good for you (if you don’t: just ask and I’ll not shut up about it), but that’s not enough for most people to get into an exercise routine that they stick to. Heck, it’s not enough to get me into an exercise routine that I stick to. But I do it anyway.

And you know why?
