Social Media for Travel: Pinterest Travel Planning

Last up in my social media for travel planning series is a real powerhouse: Pinterest. I was never really a huge fan of Pinterest until I realized the power that it held for travel planning. And today I am here to share some ways that you can make Pinterest travel planning work for you too. Before we go on, you might want to save the other posts in this series for your next travel planning session! Here’s travel planning on FacebookInstagramTwitter, and Snapchat.

Snapchat Travel Planning: Is it Possible?

Snapchat Travel Planning: Is it Possible?

It’s been a little while since we talked about using social media for travel planning, hasn’t it? Just to review, we’ve already covered Twitter (my fave!), Instagram, and Facebook. Today I’m here to talk about travel planning with my newest addiction: Snapchat. But is Snapchat travel planning possible? Alright, I hear you protesting already. How the heck can I use Snapchat to help plan my travels? I knew you were going to protest. In fact, I was a little skeptical of how useful it would be. That’s why I gave it a try when I went up to New York City. And I am confident that you actually CAN use Snapchat for travel planning.

Social Media for Travel: Facebook Travel Planning

We are moving right along with our social media travel planning series. I’ve already told you how I use Twitter and Instagram to plan some aspects of travel and now I’m going to hop on over to my newest travel obsession: Facebook. Yes, that’s right. Today I’m going to share with you four fun steps to Facebook travel planning.

Social Media for Travel: Instagram as a Travel Guide

I’m back again with the next installment of planning using social media! We talked last month about how Twitter is one of my favorite travel planning tools, and I’m here today to chat about how another social media site has helped me immensely: Instagram. Yes! It’s true! Instagram is for more than pretty pictures. I actually would go so far as to say a tool in your travel planning toolbox should be the ability to use Instagram as a travel guide. So let’s get right down to it.

Social Media for Travel Planning: Twitter

I am not being groundbreaking when I say that social media is taking over our lives. If I had a dollar for every time I looked around a room, restaurant, or my classroom (unfortunately) and people were on social media…well, I wouldn’t have to be a part-time traveler anymore, that’s for sure. And while I think we all need a break from social media every once in a while, it has actually made travel planning more personal, convenient, and a bit more fun too! So I’ve decided that over the next couple of months, I’m going to feature a social media channel and how I use it to make my travel planning that much easier. First on deck? Twitter. There’s so much more to Twitter than just following travel bloggers and obsessively clicking on their links as you scroll through (…or is that just me?). The platform is one of my favorites when I turn to social media for travel planning.
